One of the main advantages of hydraulic excavators weighing from 25 to 35 tons is that, due to their rather large size and weight, they are able to perform large volumes of earthmoving work and at the same time are relatively compact and easily transported from one construction site to another. Modifications of the EO 3322 excavator and their characteristics

The basic model EO 3322 has been improved several times. As a result, several modifications of the original machine were created. The most popular were EO 3322A and EO 3322D.

A distinctive feature of all units of the EO series is fully hydraulic control. It is available in all modifications.

"Narrow" chassis. Many models in the 25-35t range have versions with a "narrow" or "narrow extended" undercarriage that is the same width as standard but longer than standard. The EK-12 wheel excavator has a not so large set of attachments, namely, there is a variety of earth-moving buckets that differ from each other in their volume, a front blade and a hydraulic hammer. The last unit rightfully deserves more attention, so let's consider it in detail:

Hydraulic hammer. This equipment is designed for the destruction of concrete and reinforced concrete structures and loosening of solid soil and rocks.

In the engine compartment, the pump is located on the right, the radiators are on the left. The muffler is located above the pumping unit, creating an additional thermal load. The air filters are not well placed either. They are located in front of the radiators, which limits access and interferes with cooling. The diesel engine is started by a starter. Radiator elements are unified for all engines. Some modifications of the EK-12 are equipped with a Hydronic 10 starting heater, which makes it easier to start the engine in cold weather.
