During testing by the EO-4321B excavator, 33.63 thousand m3 of soil was developed. The model had several modifications

Simultaneously with the caterpillar variation, engineers began to improve the base model, so in 1983 the EO 4321A appeared, still working on the old SMD-15N, but with an increased backhoe volume - 0.63 versus 0.5 m3, an increased handle length of 3.15 m instead of 2.93 m on the base model. The excavator model EO 4321A was produced for three years and during this time it was awarded the first place at the VDNKh competition of the USSR. Closer to 1986, the excavator was equipped with a more powerful 99.25 strong SMD-17N. The removal of the model from production was due to the release of a new upgraded version with the index 4321B.

Unlike version A, the technical characteristics of the EO 4321 have been changed almost beyond recognition. Here is the new SMD-17N engine, and a large operating weight (20.4 tons), and an increase in the volume of the backhoe right up to 1 cubic meter. In addition, the backhoe received a sickle-shaped cutting edge on each edge, a hole for placing the load.

In the hydraulic cylinder, the piston was replaced with a longer stroke one, which made it possible to increase the cutting force by 30 kN. The production of the 4321B excavator continued until 1989, until it was replaced by the more progressive model 4322, but that's a completely different story.

Advantages and disadvantages

Model EO-4322 was modernized. Atek 4321 began to be produced, according to the nomenclature classification of the renamed plant, and so it is considered as model 4321B, because it absolutely repeats all the characteristics of the machine of the 80s. The only difference from the previous model is that they made a different diesel engine, and the hydraulic motor is installed at the top of the platform, and not at the bottom. This excavator was produced throughout the 90s. It can be recognized by the characteristic yellow and red color of the coating. Now the release of this machine is in question.
